Make sure your hens are happy!

A popular hen house for large broods of hens offering a safe, cosy and spacious home. Designed to make your hens happy!

The hen house can be put, for example, in the garden, in a chicken run outdoors or indoors, or on a lawn. The most common solution is to construct a chicken run or enclosure with chicken wire around the hen house. Then the hens can either stay in their house or move about safely in an enclosure. Your hens can test their wings and still feel safe.

Functions

• The hen house has nine flaps making it easy to clean and supply feed.
• The upper side flaps are fitted with perspex windows to see inside.
• The lower side flaps are used for adding feed and water.
• A sliding flap opens out to the hen access ramp.
• Easy to clean as the central perch has two plastic trays.
• Lower side roof can be opened.
• Two upper flaps at the back make it easy to collect eggs.
• Two lower flaps at the back make it easy to store equipment.
• Five nesting boxes with protected parts to rest on.

Design

• The house is made of solid spruce with resin-coated roof.
• The hen house is not insulated for winter use.
• Powder-coated steel used in house frame.
• The hens can lay their eggs in the nesting box fitted in the hen house.
• Ventilation is easily regulated by means of a sliding window at the side of the hen house.
• You can also put a water or feed dispenser, for example, inside the hen house by opening the side flaps. This makes it easy to re-fill water and feed.
• As the hen house's nesting boxes are raised slightly above the ground, there is good ventilation inside and under the house.
• The hen house is also fitted with four perches.

Number of hens

• The hen house is designed for 2 to 5 hens at the same time.
• It has five nesting boxes separated by partitions.
• You should also consider the free-range area where the hen house is placed. For example, if you have a hen house in a hen enclosure with meshing, the area in which the hens can range freely should be of a certain size.

For a longer service life

• To improve the hen house's resistance to rain and wind, we recommend oiling it with wood oil for outdoor use.
• We recommend placing the hen house on a concrete slab, planks or other substrate. This protects the underneath of the hen house from getting wet. It can of course also be placed directly on lawns, gravel, etc.
